KIDS STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING
KSC is a program for kids aged 5-12. During our kids class, we focus on creating a fun and safe environment. Movements and workouts are scaled up or down based on each child's needs and abilities. We are committed to helping everyone reach their full potential at a pace that's appropriate for them.
KSC is based on functional movements, gymnastics, agility work, and Olympic weightlifting and powerlifting techniques. The duration of a class is 60 minutes and consists of a warmup, a skill work, a WOD, a game, and a cool-down/relaxation time. Light weights will only be added in slow and controlled progression and once proper and safe form is achieved.
Next cycle starts on June 20th, 2017 and runs for 4 weeks. Classes are 3:30-4:30pm every Tuesday and 9-10am every Saturday.

WHAT IS CROSSFIT?

CrossFit begins with a belief in fitness. The aim of CrossFit is to forge a broad, general and inclusive fitness. We have sought to build a program that will best prepare trainees for any physical contingency — not only for the unknown, but for the unknowable. After looking at all sport and physical tasks collectively, we asked what physical skills and adaptations would most universally lend themselves to performance advantage. Capacity culled from the intersection of all sports demands would quite logically lend itself well to all sport. In sum, our specialty is not specializing.
More specifically, CrossFit is the fitness methodology used by many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. It is also being implemented in nursing homes, pre-schools, and physical therapy. In short, people from every walk of life are using CrossFit. This is because CrossFit is infinitely scalable which means it is appropriate for any age as well as any fitness level. Children, housewives, Olympic athletes, and grandparents will all follow the same program, but at their own level of intensity. The needs of our members differ by degree, not kind.
